About Title IX Media
Our Story
"Title IX Media was inspired by a conversation I had with my dad when I was about eight years old. He and I watch the Tour de France together every summer. I remember asking him this question while watching the race:
"Where are the girls who race?"
His answer was simple enough for me to understand at that age: "They do a different race that we can't watch on TV."
For the past eight years, I have thought about that conversation almost every day.
As individuals, we all have the power to change a problem we see in the world. Eight years after I was exposed to the issue facing women's athletics in sports media I got my idea on how to help. By setting up this website, I am providing a small service that is not a huge difference to what is already published by the NCAA website. However, this is a place for female athletes to feel belongs to us and recognizes our success in a way previously unavailable.
We cannot fix the problem immediately or easily. It will take time and we may never reach parity in this particular field, but we have to try. Yet, history has proven time and time again that women can make an impact if we try. This is why the company is entitled Title IX Media. Women proved their value in society through Title IX, and we need to ensure that does not go unseen."
